Filter Media Test Unit (Senior Design)

To assist The Dow Chemical Company in developing new flat water filter media, we have designed and manufactured a laboratory filter testing apparatus. Our device subjects flat samples of filter media to user-variable flow conditions (volumetric flow, pressure drop, incident flow angle) and measures the resulting filter performance to allow Dow to characterize the media.
Mobile Backpack Carrier

Our team used the concepts of motion generation, energy conversion and transmission, and sensors to design and build a fully functional backpack carrier. The device allows a wheelchair-bound student to hang their backpack behind their wheelchair while traveling between classes, and then move it to their side once they reach their destination.
SLOTBOTS II. revenge of the squash balls

Our team designed and built a remotely controlled vehicle using a sweeping and scoop idea to collect ping pong balls and squash balls from a narrow slot in a custom-built arena.
