The Hu Research Group, led by Professor Jingjie Hu, aims to advance the science and technology of healthcare through integrated mechanics, materials and bioengineering approaches. Our focus areas include adhesion, mechanics of materials, biomaterials, cell mechanics, nanotechnology, and translational bioengineering. Our work is multidisciplinary, spans from fundamental principles to applications, and impact critical applications in medicine.
We are based in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at North Carolina State University, and are proud to be affiliated with the Joint Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and North Carolina State University.
